An old wine for a new world.
LoicPasquet’s purpose, a winegrower of Poitiers, a city in western France. A goal that becomes one of the biggest marketing operations in the wine world. Rediscovering the originality of Bordeaux wines before the phylloxera attacks them.
It is udeniable that the American root stock has violated their originality and consequently their taste.
However, focusing on as many as 14 native vines, with the help of just one mule for plowing and without the aid of chemicals, the 2.6 hectares of vineyard produce about 1,200 bottles.
All of this has made them unique and almost impossible to find, despite the price of € 30,000 each by Liber Poter 2015, produced in only 550 specimens.
While the collectors competed to buythem, Loic Pasquet has recreated an old wine for a world that reasons in reverse.
The most famous wineries, those which the same winemaker has never seen as idols to emulate, have always aimedat a perfect wine. Not he, who in wine seeks purity with a strong appeal to tradition, but at the same time transmitting modernity.
